The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Veterinary Science is fundamentally aligned with the 'One Health' principle, recognizing the intricate link between animal, human, and environmental health. Its most significant contribution is to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by training experts to control zoonotic diseases, ensure food safety, and conduct biomedical research. The program is also a cornerstone for achieving SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) through research that enhances the health and productivity of livestock, ensuring a sustainable food supply. Furthermore, it directly supports SDG 15 (Life on Land) through its focus on wildlife health and the conservation of terrestrial ecosystems. As a research-intensive doctoral program, it embodies the principles of SDG 4 (Quality Education), drives health-related innovation under SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and fosters the global collaboration essential for SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

        The Doctor of Philosophy Program (International Program), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Khon Kaen University, recognizes the global challenge of One Health, which links food security, the safety of livestock products, and the control of zoonoses, impacting the economy and human well-being.
        Driving sustainable development is thus focused through the main mechanism of creating the Dissertation (VM 329 996/VM 329 998/VM 329 999), which integrates knowledge from intensive specialized courses such as Human-Animal Health Interface (VM 329 704), Wildlife in One Health (VM 329 705), and Environmental Health for One Health (VM 329 706). This promotes analytical skills and the presentation of research findings through Veterinary Science and One Health Seminar 1, 2, and 3 (VM 009 991, VM 009 992, and VM 009 993) to produce researchers and academic personnel with deep expertise, capable of analytical thinking and creating new innovation that effectively addresses complex problems at the international level.
        This resulted in the empirical result of creating knowledge that leads to publication in international academic journals in the SCOPUS/ISI database, which is a testament to the quality and international standard of research.
        This generated a sustainable impact in developing personnel with professional leadership who can guide approaches to create safety for livestock products, prevent emerging/re-emerging infectious diseases, and sustainably create added value for Thailand's agricultural sector. This operation thus strategically aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), through disease control and elevating One Health well-being; SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), in the dimension of creating security and safety for food derived from animals; and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), in developing research and innovation to strengthen the nation's competitiveness according to the National Strategy Plan.
